The menu driven interface makes it easy to setup the changes for selected items. Once the theme has been setup, simply enter a single command to create updated versions of your specialty maps.
| Create specialty maps for presentations. |
| Create report maps highlighting features based on selected non-graphic data. |
| Permanently change the graphic symbology of all the maps in your entire system in a single session. |
| Or, setup MAP WIZARD "THEMES" which you can use to generate special report maps on a regular basis from your updated basemaps. |
With MAP WIZARD, select the items you want to customize, and describe how you want them to appear in the custom map. If you select a graphic item that is attached to a non-graphic record, the system lets you further refine the selection criteria. You can either change the graphic item for ALL of those records, or you can setup a query to select only those non-graphic records whose fields contain values matching your selection criteria. For example, you can change the color of POLE records where the MATERIAL is WOOD and the INSTALL_DATE was before 1970.
Once you've defined the selection criteria, you can choose to either:
1. Delete all occurrences of the selected graphic and/or non-graphic record.
2. Or, list the changes you'd like to make for each graphic item associated with the non-graphic record. Aside from deleting the item, you can change any of the following attributes:

After you've selected the records and defined the changes, MAP WIZARD lets you select one or more drawing files where the changes will be made. When done, you can save the MAP WIZARD theme to re-generate the maps over and over again as you update your CableCad basemap over time.
